A “foot-washin” attitude

Yesterday in church my dad said something that really stuck with me…and I thought I would share it with everyone. He was talking about “foot-washing” like Jesus did to the disciples. And how that should be our attitude with others when we feel that they’re wrong about something. If you try to show someone where they’re wrong by standing over them acting all superior then it probably won’t be received right…dontcha think? U have to be able to humble yourself…”wash their feet”…

It definitely means something to me because I can always see everyone else’s problems so clearly….and it drives me CRAZY!! But who am I??? Seriously…I’m just as bad off as them…probably worse. The best thing for me to do is pray for them…and pray for ME! I definitely need it! If God wants me to speak into their life about something…He’ll let me know and if and when that happens I want to have a humble attitude…I want to have a “foot-washin” attitude! And if He wants them to speak into my life…I have to be receiving! I want to be a servant…a tool that God uses for His purpose and plan. Wow…so easy to say but so hard to do!

I love photography…probably because of my amazing new camera I just went to Ireland this summer and I absolutely had a hay day. I took over 2000 pictures…well I didn’t take them all. Everyone loved my camera too so they were all snapping pictures. This seaport picture is one of my favorites that I took over there…I just think it looks like something that belongs on a calender or coaster or something you know? You just can’t take bad pictures over there in Ireland…it’s so beautiful. I’ll post more pictures when I have time.

Decisions and more decisions….

I’m in my senior year so of course I’m starting to think about where I’m going…what I’m doing…all those complicated sort of things. Tryin’ to decide what to do after highschool just has to be one of the hardest decisions ever. I’ve thrown around every idea there is to throw around….college, traveling, working. I am going to go to college eventually…I just think I need to use my brain. But I don’t know if I should do it now or wait….cuz I would really love to travel. Recently I’ve been looking into nursing and that’s my best option yet as far as careers and college go. I really like the idea of being a nurse. I’ve always been interested in medical stuff…but it would take forever to be a doctor. Nursing might be a good thing for me…who knows?? All I can do is keep praying that God will direct me the right way…cuz I have no clue what I’m s’post to do!
